Phumlani Mbatha

Phumlani is a qualified Care Assistant currently working at Avalon Home of Disability in Germiston. He provides daily care to residents with disabilities, assisting with hygiene, mobility, nutrition and emotional support. He also monitors patient progress and communicates concerns to the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.

With training in Home-Based Care and Dementia and Alzheimer’s Awareness, as well as an Occupational Certificate as a Health Promotion Officer, Phumlani supports individuals living with dementia, stroke and depression. He focuses on safe, person-centred care while maintaining clear communication with families and multidisciplinary teams.
